Our Training Philosophy

Cape Cod Dog Academy at Cape Cod Dog Center offers immersive Board & Train programs that combine professional training, structured socialization, and enrichment into a comprehensive learning experience.

Unlike traditional programs where dogs spend much of their time kenneled with short training sessions, our dogs participate in structured learning throughout the day using our Day School model. This allows dogs to practice good behavior in real-life situations while building confidence and strong communication with people and other dogs.

How Our Board & Train Programs Work

Dogs stay overnight at Cape Cod Dog Center and participate in a full schedule that includes professional training sessions, structured social play groups, enrichment activities, confidence-building exercises, calm behavior training, and real-world manners practice.

Because learning happens throughout the entire day, dogs develop reliable skills much faster than in traditional training environments.

Foundation Board & Train – 2 Week Program ($3,200)

Ideal for puppies and dogs needing a strong foundation in obedience and manners.

Training focuses on:

• Sit
• Down
• Recall (come when called)
• Loose leash walking
• Place command
• Polite greetings
• Impulse control

Includes daily training sessions, Day School integration, enrichment activities, structured social play, and a go-home owner training lesson.

Advanced Board & Train – 3 Week Program ($4,500)

Perfect for adolescent dogs and families seeking stronger obedience and more refined manners.

Training focuses on:

• Reliable obedience with distractions
• Loose leash walking in stimulating environments
• Impulse control
• Polite greetings with people and dogs
• Confidence building

Includes multiple daily training sessions, Day School integration, enrichment activities, structured social learning, and two owner training lessons.

Elite Board & Train – 4 Week Transformation Program ($6,500)

Our most popular immersive training experience.

Training focuses on:

• Reliable obedience with distractions
• Advanced leash manners
• Calm household behavior
• Social confidence
• Advanced impulse control

Includes multiple daily training sessions, Day School participation, enrichment and confidence building, two private owner lessons, one month of complimentary daycare after graduation, and lifetime access to group training classes.

Ultra Elite Dog Finishing School – 5 Week Concierge Program ($10,000)

Our most exclusive program designed for clients seeking a concierge-level training experience.

Enrollment is limited to one dog at a time to ensure individualized attention.

Dogs receive:

• Multiple professional training sessions daily
• Integration into our Day School training environment
• Advanced enrichment and confidence building
• Two private owner training sessions
• Two follow-up lessons after graduation
• One month unlimited daycare after graduation
• Lifetime access to group training classes

Limited Enrollment

To maintain the highest level of care and individualized training, program availability is limited.

• Foundation & Advanced programs: limited monthly openings
• Elite Board & Train: only two dogs per month
• Ultra Elite Finishing School: one dog at a time

Because of the intensive nature of these programs, reservations often book several weeks in advance.

All Board & Train programs begin with a Training Evaluation where we assess your dog and recommend the best program for your goals.
